The 22nd edition of “June, Children’s Month” promotes climate action, education, and community involvement in Paul

The Paul Regional Office of the Ministry of Education is organizing the 22nd edition of “June, Children’s Month,” an initiative that brings together children, schools, families, and the educational community through a wide-ranging program of educational, cultural, sports, and community activities.

Taking place between May and June, this edition focuses particularly on climate change under the slogan “Today’s children, tomorrow’s climate guardians,” emphasizing the importance of climate education from an early age and encouraging children’s active participation in building a more conscious and sustainable future.

The program includes activities such as a Climate March, sports days, theater and plays, singing and dancing, lectures, an educational fair, cleanup campaigns, tree planting, creative workshops, and training sessions for families and teachers, among other initiatives taking place in various schools and locations across the municipality of Paul.

More than just recreational and educational moments, these activities seek to strengthen the school community’s engagement in reflecting on climate issues, promoting values of citizenship, cooperation, collective responsibility, and connection to the local area.

Throughout the various activities, children and young people play a central role as active participants, developing skills, social awareness, and a connection to the environmental and climate issues that impact the present and future of their communities.

The 22nd edition of “June, Children’s Month” thus reaffirms the role of schools as spaces for learning, participation, and social transformation, bringing together education, culture, sports, and climate action in a collective effort to build more resilient and sustainable communities.
