June, Children's Month

The 22nd edition of “June, Children’s Month” is taking place in the municipality of Paul, on Santo Antão, featuring a diverse program of educational, cultural, sports, and community activities.

Organized by the Paul Delegation of the Ministry of Education, this edition focuses particularly on climate action under the slogan “Today’s Children, Tomorrow’s Climate Guardians,” raising awareness among children, families, and the school community about the challenges associated with climate change.

Throughout the program, the activities aim to reinforce learning, participation, citizenship, and a collective commitment to a more sustainable future.

The municipalities already have a plan. "AGORA", they have a path forward.

Local Climate Action Plans (PLAC) outline concrete measures to address climate challenges in Cape Verde, with solutions tailored to each region. Brava, Ribeira Brava, Boa Vista, and Mosteiros are already taking action to build a more sustainable and resilient future.
