PR calls for more attention to food and nutritional security in the face of drought and rising product prices

José Maria Neves, President of the Republic of Cabo Verde, urges the central and local authorities, and civil society itself, to manage water in the best way, and to pay more attention to the food and nutritional security of families, in view of rising product prices and a decrease in the purchasing power of Cape Verdeans. The appeal follows a visit to the dams in the interior of Santiago, where he saw the consequences of the drought that has been plaguing the region.
