The Prime Minister was in Dubai, where he participated in the UN climate conference, COP28. In an interview with “Expresso das Ilhas”, Ulisses Correia e Silva addresses the impacts that climate change has on Small Island States (SIDS) and argues that agriculture, food and climate change are topics that are closely linked. “Reality is showing that agri-food systems are very vulnerable to climate change”, he points out, ensuring that Cape Verde has committed to “accelerating and strengthening the integration of agriculture and food systems into climate action” and vice versa.
