Cabo Verde adopted the joint declaration on “Sustainable Agriculture, Resilient Food Systems and Climate Action”, proposed by the United Arab Emirates. The country agrees with the document, due to the adverse and unprecedented climate impacts that increasingly threaten the resilience of agriculture and food systems, said the Minister of Agriculture and Environment.
In a note sent to Rádio Morabeza, in Dubai, within the scope of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP28, Gilberto Silva justifies the positioning of the archipelago with the capacity of many countries, especially the most vulnerable, to produce and have access to food in the face of increased hunger, malnutrition and economic tensions.
