The Prime Minister defends the effective fulfillment of limiting global temperature warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, as established in the Paris Agreement, and the guarantee that the issue of climate financing is implemented. Questions that are part of Ulisses Correia e Silva’s speech, to be given this Saturday during COP28, taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
The preview was made by the Head of Government, in Dubai. “Namely the reduction of global warming to not exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius, the issue of climate financing, ensuring that promises are implemented, in particular concern with the Small Island Developing States, a group to which Cape Verde belongs, in the sense of ensure that the multidimensional vulnerability index is a fact, in order to differentiate these small States in relation to their exposure to external shock factors, namely climate and environmental”, he points out.
