Economist defends adaptation of the business environment to facilitate the development of private investment

The PCA of the company PD Consult and economist Paulino Dias defends the need to adapt the business environment in Cape Verde to the legal and institutional framework to facilitate the development of private investment that is more resilient to climate change.

Paulino Dias made these considerations to the press on the sidelines of the launch ceremony of the first edition of the digital magazine “Investment Opportunities in Santiago, Fogo e Brava”, by PD Consult, as part of the company’s 16th anniversary, in the City of Praia.

According to this official, Cape Verde is extremely vulnerable to rising sea levels, but practically 80% of its tourism takes place in the coastal region of the islands, especially Sal, Boa Vista and Maio. Hence, he highlighted, the need to adapt national private investments to precisely be more resilient to the effects of climate change.
