Government launches climate action program worth 1.1 million contos

The Government of Cape Verde launched this Friday, February 17th, in Cidade da Praia, the program Ação Climática (Climate Action), budgeted at 1.1 million contos, to help the archipelago in the fight against the effects of climate actions.

In a statement to the press, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Gilberto Silva, assured that this program will help the country in the implementation of two important instruments, namely the National Adaptation Plan, which establishes consolidated climate governance that results in a country more resistant to climate change and with low greenhouse gas emissions.
