Climateca, the knowledge hub of the Cape Verde Climate Portal, provides new documents, studies, strategies, and tools that help improve access to information and support climate action in the country.
Among the new resources are the Long-Term Low-Emissions Development Strategy (LT-LEDS 2050), the Local Climate Action Plans (PLACs), and cliMAPAS CV, which provides detailed mapping of climate risks and vulnerabilities across Cape Verde’s 22 municipalities.
The update also includes tools to support planning and public management, such as the Guide to Climate Budget Allocation, the Guide for Integrating Climate Action into Municipal Strategic Plans for Sustainable Development (PEMDS), and the Procedures Manual for Implementing Climate Action Financing Mechanisms at the Local Level.
In the area of education and awareness-raising, highlights include the 2026–2028 Teacher and Climate Action Agenda, the collection of Teacher and Climate Action Agendas, and the results of the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Climate Perception Surveys.
With this update, Climateca brings together more resources to support professionals, institutions, researchers, teachers, students, and citizens interested in understanding climate challenges and learning about the responses developed in Cape Verde.
The new documents are available for consultation on Resources via the Climate Portal.
