The progressive elimination of fossil fuels, the operationalization of the Loss and Damage Fund and the assessment of the global situation regarding the fight against the climate crisis are points that continue to fall short of expectations in the negotiations taking place at COP28, in Dubai. This is said by Tania Romualdo, ambassador and representative of Cape Verde at the United Nations.
Representing the archipelago in the negotiations, which are still taking place at a technical level, the official states that despite the Member States’ openness to dialogue, the current pace is not satisfactory.
