The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Myriam Vieira, highlighted the importance of “impactful strategies” and financial resources to face climate change in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

The minister, who was speaking at a press conference, also highlighted the challenges faced by Small Island Developing States in accessing climate funds and the need for greater simplification of procedures to ensure adequate financing.
