Webinar on climate action for teachers and educators

Its main objective is to make the entire educational community aware of the issue, increasing what is currently a low level of awareness among Cape Verdean society of the causes and consequences of climate change and what the government and society are doing to face up to the challenges posed by a reality with increased risks for biodiversity and ecosystems, society and the country’s economy.

To increase this awareness, a series of activities have been planned and a range of materials produced to support you, the teachers and educators, monitors and mentors, in producing and disseminating relevant information on climate action in Cape Verde.

One of these resources is the webinar presented here. The webinar was produced by the National Directorate for the Environment in partnership with the National Directorate for Education with the support of Luxembourg Cooperation and features the participation of the National Director for the Environment, Ethel Fernandes, and the Director of the Pedagogical Management, Evaluation and Educational Inclusion Service, Maria Helena Andrade, who will give us more information about this activity and with the presentation of Mónica Rosa, a technician from the National Directorate for the Environment.
